Syncing Vanadium with desktop Firefox

Quite handy to be able to send tabs from my phone and vice versa. Is it possible with Vandium?

blicero No I don't think so as Firefox sync only works with Firefox/Firefox forks and to my knowledge vanadium is a chromium fork.

Not that I'm aware of. No idea if an add-on could do this on desktop. In any case it won't work on mobile devices with Chromium browsers like Vanadium because they don't allow you to install any add-ons.

I've been searching and I think there's no ability to do this. Vanadium on Android and chromium on desktop do not have logins, and you can't add extensions to Vanadium. So it's a no go.

You will have to share the URL text over some other service like Easyjoin ($18.99) or Keep or some other syncing note service.

I might just switch back to Firefox or Opera and only use Vanadium for situations I'm concerned about a private non-tracking browser connection.

Firefox (and other Gecko browsers) are not recommended on android devices for security issues.

KDEConnext works to quickly share webpages to your computer. Also, you can share links to yourself on Signal and then open them on the computer.

There's also floccus sync, which syncs bookmarks. It's an add-on for desktop browsers. There isn't a Vanadium add-on, but it has an Android app that lets you view/edit/add your bookmarks.
