@all It's highly recommended to read the release notes carefully before doing anything with a new release!
It's correct, GOS stated previously they planned to publish the first release with a workaround included. That's the reason for the 'delay' of this release.
I can't speak for GOS, but it seems to be a bit more difficult to provide a workaround, so they decided to publish this release anyway, without that workaround, not letting people wait any longer, who don't necessarily need updating via ADB-sideloading. And:
There will be no issues updating to it over-the-air and we'll provide instructions in our testing channels for early experimental testing prior to Alpha. We're working on a resolution to updating via sideload from a previous release.
So if people can't wait for Alpha channel release there might be a way to update anyway. And a release with the announced workaround will come.
