so new pixel 10 just use the webinstall and have grapheneos installed
I have 2 profiles - owner - figure my main account and play profile that has google play installed - the sandbox version

so i figure i go to profile play install my apps like immich + google pixel
then i go to my owner profile and some how enable the apps there

but when i get to the owner profile I look under apps and i can see them there - saying no installed in this profile - but I see no way to install it into this profile

so what am i doing wrong :)

KeyzerSuze You can't move apps from other profiles into your main one, only the opposite. I don't really see a reason for you to do this in this case, unless the apps you're talking about don't need Google Play Services, in which case you can extract the APKs and manually install them in your owner profile at the cost of losing updates.

If i understand it correctly, you're trying to push apps from secondary profile to your owner profile.

That's currently not supported for security reasons:

It [pushing an app from the other profile to the Owner] is not currently supported for security reasons. An actual additional user using the device via a separate profile could install a malicious app and the Owner user would have no way of knowing that happened.

So you can install Apps in Owner Profile and push them to Secondary User Profiles or Private Space.

Thanks for that. i was following some online guides. I think I am over thinking it .

It sounds like the best way forward is to have still 2 profiles
owner - place the package management tools here
work / active / primary / main - 2nd account where I can publish app through to here.

but I think - one of the links provided suggested for new users - just use the owner profile - as a new graphene os user. think thats what i am going to do .

I'm on the path to degoogle so i wanted to use the play store to install things but still not had over everything to google.

so typical apps
immich + photos
whatsapp - messaging
phone / sms
browser - going to miss fire fox - but i might still install it
mail - gmail ... sigh
keepass2android
ms authenticate

then work things - okta - ms office ....
nfc payment system - this might be the straw that breaks my back - i like google wallet cause I can easily pick the card i want to use - but looks like in graphene it doesn't work - so i have to use individual bank apps

and online games ....

any way start the journey see what happens

I use tasker a lot on my android - loved it with root rights - can i get root right on grapheneos and how bad is that ?
