I don't think any of you have understood the problem, it's much simpler than what you're imagining. I have a "public" profile which contains very specific apps (at the moment a music app and a recorder) and app installs are disabled, there's no access to phone logs, it doesn't run in the background, etc. This profile is meant to be used when I share my phone with people, so they can only do one thing with no access to anything else. A guest profile doesn't work, because everything is cleared when exiting and it's easy to accidentally exit (and once you do so, the owner password is needed to log back in which isn't ideal).
So this "public" profile has no unlock method because it stores nothing sensitive. Since it's so convenient, I sometimes use it to quickly start a recording. The moment I realize I want to record something, 2 seconds later it's recording because it's just a swipe up and a tap on the recorder app which is set to automatically record once opened. Anything slower than that means I'll lose part of what I want to record.
I also have an auto-reboot timer set. After 18 hours of nobody unlocking the phone, it automatically reboots. If someone unlocks it in the meantime, the countdown timer will reset back to 18 hours. This is great, but if the "swipe to unlock" profile counts as unlocking the phone, the auto-reboot timer could be easily bypassed if the phone was stolen and my data would stay unprotected. What I was asking is if this is true.
