My 7a is struggling to get to the end of the day with only about 4-5 hours of screentime (music, videos, reading articles, 24/7 VPN, 2 user profiles always open). Should I wait it out for the Motorola phones and survive with a portable battery or just pickup the 10a? The 9a looks like a decent option too, but the pricing seems to be about the same as the 10a.

CrimsonedSwordsman Might you have a nearby repair shop that might be able to extend the usable lifetime of the 7a for a reasonable price?

Good day, 2 culprits that come to mind that would need further testing:
Compare how far the battery discharges overnight under the following conditions and record your findings.

Test 1) normal night--no changes.
Test 2) overnight with airplane mode on, turn on bluetooth and/or wifi if you need it
Test 3) airplane mode off & turn Off GPS/location via the quick tile or settings > location > very top is the off toggle

You can do some further investigating on battery usage. Review the last half of this comment talking about battery usage:

I’d personally wait for Motorola and just take a power bank along.

As soon as the Motorola arrives, we can see whether it’s any good. In any case, by that time the Pixel 10a will have better support and will be more affordable :)

I'm not sure why my original comments have been deleted above, or state [deleted] next to them... but OK, very odd.

I've installed stallion on my 10a and everything app and sandbox wise has worked flawlessly.

Grapi Motorola isn't arriving until 2027 don't get me wrong. The partnership is really good we've been wanting more budget phones or non-google phones for some time now. If someone could please point out on Motorola main website, they said in 2027 but I don't know and I can't confirm when it's coming in 2027. But for those who need cell phones now they need them now, not a year from now. I was pretty excited for this partnership, but I need another phone with Grapheneos now not another year from now.
