Pixel 10 Pro and esim installation

Hello everyone,

I recently started using GrapheneOS on a Pixel 10 Pro with two user profiles. The first profile is for Google-free services and the second is for all Google services. I'm going on vacation to Japan in a few days and would like to get an eSIM for the first time. I came across Roamify as a provider for Japan because they offer an Allnet flat rate. However, I am still open to other providers. I have no experience with eSIMs yet. From what I have read so far, I install the eSIM provider app with Google Play services (in my case in profile 2). I then give this app permission for the phone and allow the use of an eSIM in the settings. After that, I restart GrapheneOS.
What I'm not clear about is what I need to do next, both here in Europe and later in Japan. Will I also have internet access in the first profile if the app is installed in the second profile? What else do I need to consider?

The eSIMs don't care about the profile. I have installed an eSIM (actually two) on a US-variant P10Pro and installed GrapheneOS when it became beta. I didn't lose the eSIMs.
Although I'd much rather leave my T-Mobile service on a physical SIM and only using US Mobile Dark Star as an eSIM. But I did see eSIM-only phones coming even before the Pixel 10 did it, I just saw it much later on.

I decided to go with Ubigi based on many recommendations, but now I have the following issue:

First, I installed the app in the second profile and purchased it there. However, I couldn't activate the eSIM there because grapheneos doesn't support it in the second profile. Now I've uninstalled the app in the second profile and wanted to reinstall it in the owner profile. I received an error message in the Aurora Store, so I temporarily installed Google Play services. Unfortunately, I still can't install the Ubigi app, but I can still install it in the second profile.

The error message:

How can I install the app in the owner profile so that I can start using the ubigi eSIM in some days?

You need actual Google Play services to use eSIM. Aurora doesn't work for eSIMs.
