Pixel 9 variable refresh rate issue.

I'm on the latest version of gOS and I noticed that the refresh rate is always stuck at 120Hz, after I activated Show refresh rate in developer settings. Previously, it was always switching between 120 and 60 when the content displayed was still for a few seconds. The Force peak refresh rate and Disable default frame rate for games are both disabled. Let me know if anyone else has this issue.

Another case of Developer options proving their non-stability...

Prescription:
Backup important data. Factory reset.
Then keep the Developer options OFF.

Novalissoide For some reasons it's back to normal now without factory reset. Although, thanks for taking your time to respond. 🙏 Didn't know developer options cause instabillity.

Unless you can remember all the developer options you changed, there is no way to reset all of them without a factory reset

Vincent96 They don't necessarily come with any graceful shutoff-feature which we take for granted in the normal OS. We assume kind of near the same even inside the dev ops since there isn't any visible difference. I would prefer a nonstoppable disturbing background colour activating allower the OS when dev options enabled, rendering them easier to remember, easier for us to diagnose, and less of a temptation to enable out of old habits.

No, while a plurality will get turned OFF when switching the full panel OFF, there are several of them that instead will stick, thus getting more necessary steps to be taken in order to really revert them from inside dev options which was toggled OFF. This is one cause for user with issue to believe that they now diagnosed their issue as 'not caused by Dev Ops', since it persisted after shutting them. . . 😔

panzeriv you're more than welcome to try, and in theory it should work. However developer option tend to have unforseen effects and if you want full assurance then factory reset will accomplish that.
