Scatterbrain I then read again the whole thread and see someone kindly suggested 'Private Spaces' which is a new concept to me. I looked into it and may try that, but does anyone know if notifications will come through while I am in main profile, from WA installed in a 'private space'?

If the Private Space is unlocked then yes. Otherwise no.

Thank you. Am I right in thinking there's no practical difference in terms of privacy protection between a second user versus private spaces? It looks like private space approach is perhaps more convenient/easy to use

Scatterbrain both are isolated work spaces, both require their own VPN connection etc too however it's easier to move things between the owner and private space which is the primary benefit and it's all done via the system.

If you try private space,

Its settings are in settings > security > private space

I'd set: unlock = device unlock
Automatically lock = when device reboots.

PS will stay unlocked so you get notifications. Same unlock as device means no periodic authentication prompts.

Location use in PS
settings > location > enable location use in private space

MetropleX to add there is a bridge in private space, whee you can transfer files from main user, which is impossible with separate profiles

there is a setting for that in users : send notifications to current user toggle
background run must be allowed as well

I have a question, though,
If data centers are power, liquid resource hungry and expensive, why does Meta store the information, what purpose, if its all encrypted?
