Upcoming Big Problem with Verizon mmwave/VoLTE?

I'm not a current GOS user, and I'm just delving into all this, so forgive me if I'm missing something. I hope I am.

From what I understand, VoLTE doesn't work on GOS? If that is true, does that mean that GOS will no longer work on Verizon after this year?
