Notwithstanding the arguments here in favour of using the Play Store rather than Aurora Store, I have elected to use Aurora.
I do occasionally find that (sometimes after weeks or months with no problems) Aurora stops finding updates (e.g. viewing information in Aurora about an installed App shows there is a more recent version available, but that App never shows on Aurora's update screen) and that downloads of any apps also consistently fail.
Clearing the App data for Aurora seems to fix the problem - albeit, with the cost of needing to configure Aurora again when running it next time.
