Thanks, but my question was simpler/dumber. But Ive been searching on line and found my answer for my dumb question about the icons: A=already have/installed, V=verified version, greyed out Play=dont have download it. However, if thats true, APKdownloader isnt always accurate on my Pix9 GrapheneOS phone!. Ie, after deleting an app and reloading the apkdownloader app, it still may say I "have" the app, ie it has the "A" icon. Or the converse: I have it, apk sez I dont, ie shows the grey "play" arrow, inviting me to install that same version. Confusing. Not trustworthy?
But you bring up another question that was on my mind: how trustworthy this app is. This app "goes" to various sources like github and f-droid, but can this developer inject things inbetween so that we get an altered app/update? More broadly, Im wondering why do u trust this app so far? What did you read, hear etc, that made u feel comfortable with it? Thanks for any info. Im just wondering if blocking all those updating from Aurora, f-droid, neostore that I just did, was a mistake.
