File download

Hello everyone, I recently downloaded a file on mi Pixel 9a with GraphenOS. But it shows as a empty file. Moreover it shows as an .html file when on the site was listed as a .pdf. I ran it on Vitustotal after dowloading it on my pc(windows 10) and it says it had java-embedded in the pdf file, plus at some point said "Likely virus infection of existing binary". What I wanted to ask is is it possible that Vanadium did't download the file entirely. Or should I consider the fact that I have a Virus, considering that I opened it on my phone?

needhelppleas If contains zero bytes it doesn't contain any malware. Is it actually empty?

There is a big in the Files app that results in zero-length downloads appearing to be present even if they are deleted. After a few days it should stop appearing.

de0u That is the problem, I don't know. As far as I am aware there are some programs that can mask the actual size of a file. What worries me is that: 1) The file is empty and I don't know why. 2) Is saved in HTML and not as PDF 3) The virustotal thing. The empty files lasted till today then I did a factory reset (I don't know if it saves me from malware)

needhelppleas if you did a "factory reset" and checked the signing-key fingerprint on the boot screen, that should do it.
