Aeon This feature is intended to help people with sensitivity to low PWM. For some, this causes headaches and other unpleasant symptoms.
As I understand from articles describing this new feature, it doubles the PWM frequency to 480 Hz.
It is not particularly high, as some smartphones from other manufacturers can reach thousands of hertz, but for some users, this may be sufficient.
As far as I know, this can cause color distortions, but I have not verified this myself.
