What are the privacy implications of using a service's web app versus installing their mobile app?

I understand that web apps are generally less able to record data from the device (mobile or desktop). I also understand that Graphene OS has sandboxing and hardening on mobile apps to reduce the data that they can record. With these measures in place, is there a privacy-oriented reason to prefer using either webapps or installed mobile apps?

sati59 This question has been asked on the forum quite a few times. Have a search for comparing progressive web apps (PWA) to native apps. As far as I can tell, it depends on the app in question, that there isn't a definitive reason to use PWA or native app in all cases, and usually the reasons are quite technical and beyond my level of knowledge.
