Newly installed apps only get added to home screen after reboot

I did enable "add app icons to home screen". But new apps still don't appear on home screen until a reboot.
This happen every time. I am on default launcher. I have to manually add apps to home screen from app drawer after installation.

Also, 1 or 2 apps get rearranged after reboot too, if there are new apps.

Anyone know how to fix this?

filastinhurra I've spoken about this issue here, only work around I can advise is to disable new apps going to home screen and add them manually. This does not work for PWAs though, if you try to add them you will have to force stop the launcher or restart your device and then they will appear in a second home screen.

Did you know that instead of clicking the "Add to homescreen" button, you can long-press the icon and drag to the home screen manually?

After installing the PWA, a dialog pops up from the bottom of screen. In the middle is the PWA icon, and at the bottom there are buttons to cancel or add to homescreen. You can just drag the icon where you want it.
