r134a i think geocoder and network location should be off in addition to airplane mode. It might be airplane mode is not sufficient when those are turned on.
That is true. The difference is you'd have to explicitly enable those things, and grant apps access to location. Not something a person trying to obfuscate their location is likely to do by accident.
