As I'm sure you understand, aesthetics do matter. We're all (even us privacy guys) guilty of wanting to have a good look to our phones if possible once we are past the privacy problem, so we can feel fluffy inside when we unlock our new phones. and maybe even pretend we're normal people! :))
While I do take the color fingerprinting seriously, I am in a situation where I have no apps that would color fingerprint me (all foss apps). So I was left wishing I had access to them to toy around with.
But I didn't know whether they were even part of AOSP, which is why I asked for clarification.
So its really not an "issue". more of a "I wish I had..." thing.
I figured you might have removed them, and wondered what your thinking might have been.
The github issue is a decent suggestion. Looking forward to it.
Though I'd like to suggest that leaving the themeing in would be nice as it gives the user "the choice". As long as the user is educated about the problem and understands the benefits of having a black background.
