Hello,
I'm back because I was able to run a few tests with Signal, Threema, and WhatsApp. All three work, and I've reinstalled all three (I'll be running more tests over the next few days, but I'm confident).
In addition, and following the instructions from “XXX” (thank you!), I activated the “Push” function in Threema (for those looking for where this option is hidden, it's -> Threema -> Settings -> About Threema -> Advanced Options -> Push Service -> Use Threema Push).
Just one last question: I don't know if I should open another thread for this, so I'll ask here and open a new thread if necessary.
Now my settings are:
Google Play Store
– Settings –> Permissions –> “Network, Notifications”
– Settings –> App battery usage –> “Allow background usage” – “No restrictions”
Google Play services
– Settings –> Permissions –> “Network, Notifications”
– Settings –> App battery usage –> “Allow background usage” – “No restrictions”
I removed “Sensors,” then removed everything else, or do I have to keep “Network, Notifications” so that my other apps continue to work?
And should I also leave the “Allow background usage” – “No restrictions” option for both? or leave it ONLY for "Google Play services" (I think I read that somewhere, but your confirmation would be helpful)
Thank you for your feedback and happy holidays to all.
Cpt.
