Hello,
Graphen OS tells me that my SIM card is not authorized.
(Pixel 7 and Graphen OS stable version)
I think this behavior is due to an update I received last Saturday.
Indeed, my network suddenly stopped while I was surfing the net.
My SIM card (French operator Orange) works on my old phone, so the problem is not due to the SIM card.
Moreover, I tested another SIM from another operator on my phone under Graphen OS and there is no problem.
I tried the usual things: reboot, stop the phone, change the settings, etc. but nothing works.
Am I the only one in this case? If not, would you have a clue as to the origin of the problem?

Thanks in advance

MetropleX thanks I haven't think about that.
But unfortunately same issue after reset + reboot : Sim card not authorized.

Ventresca I would contact your operator with your IMEI ready as it could be that they need to authorise the handset for use on the network. Especially as you say:

Ventresca Indeed, my network suddenly stopped while I was surfing the net.

The fact your friends SIM works in the phone and under GOS demonstrates it is not a hardware/software issue.

Also carriers upgrade their SIM cards and sometimes require you to change them but never say anything, could be the case dependent on how old your SIM is, not only that but if you had it a while it could also be the SIM has degraded or been damaged non visually somehow.

My SIM card works fine on my old phone, so it is not damaged.
Do you mean that my operator has banned the phone from the network?

I will try to contact them ...

Ventresca how old is the 'old' phone? The fact another SIM works in it, and I imagine is in the same locale, would imply that the device is not banned due to the IMEI as this normally occurs across operators in a given area from a centralised database.

I would ask for your number to be ported to a replacement SIM, this can usually be done in a store if you have one nearby to reduce service down time otherwise, it may require sending one to you via your carriers process.

I'd been with my carrier since the early 2000s and as the 4G network was rolled out some older SIMs would no longer work or pick up 4G requiring an upgraded SIM. This may be the case here either that or your older phone SIM tray could have different tolerances than the Pixel 7 in regards the metal springs that touch the different SIM elements etc.

MetropleX I know what you mean. However, my SIM card is less than two years old ...
I just did a new test on my Pixel with another SIM card from another operator and this time I get an alternation between: the network works / the SIM card is not authorized...

I think I'll try to reflash a Google Android 13 on my phone and see the behavior.

            a month later

            Update: fixed.
The problem was my phone. The Google warranty allowed me to replace it. Everything is ok now.
Thanks for the help MetropleX !!
