Auditor Error Pixel 10

I just installed GOS on my pixel 10 and it worked very fine, including the auditor check. Then I tryed to do a seed vault backup, which worked also well. But after that backup the Auditor just responded an error. I tried different GOS phones to do the check. One already "knew" the p10 but another was completely "new" to it.

Being Auditor works fine for the p10. Being Auditee results in:

Error encountered generating attestation:
java.security.ProviderException: Failed to generate key pair.

I tried reboot, manufacture reset, fresh install and even fresh stockOS bevor another fresh GOS install.

Since the first SeedVault Backup the Phone itself was always disconnected to the internet, but I think that shouldn't be a problem.

Can some one help me?

Hoady Was a SeedVault restore tried? A while back there were reports of trouble due to that.

What if you clear cache and storage for the RemoteProvisioner app (GrapheneOS)?

1) Yes I did a SeedVault restore on my P10 which was created on a p6.

2) I tried to clear the cache etc. of RemoteProvisioner but it was greyed out (same problem as others had at that point). I don't know how to use adb commands to do it but at least the manufacture reset or the fresh install should in my understanding overwrite everything and clear the cache. So I really don't know what to do. I read all the threads in the internet but didn't find any solution that worked for me. That's the reason I postet my problem here.

Maybe I just have to wait for the next update and hope it's gonna be fixed?

Hoady Go to:

SETTINGS > APPS > TOP 3 DOTS AND SHOW SYSTEM > SEARCH REMOTEPROVISIONER > TAP STORAGE AND CACHE > CLEAR STORAGE

This should resolve the issues and must be done in Owner user.

I don't think this problem will be fixed by a code change, and I really don't think there will be a relevant code change soon.

Can you try MetropleX 's suggestion and report back?

I already tried that but the "clear storage" button is greyed out. I can't use it.

Edit: This is why I did at first a manufacture reset, which should wipe in my understanding all settings, storage an cache and then also tried a fresh install of the whole OS. Unfortunately, both did not result in the auditor to work fine again.

Update: After I connected the P10 to the Internet, the auditor verification worked immediately. Now I am a bit more insecure if my system is corrupt because I read, that auditor can potentially be hijacked through a corrupt system when connected to web.

Any thoughts?
