Hi everyone,
I’m having trouble getting Android Auto to connect while Proton VPN is running. I’ve already followed the steps outlined in this post: https://discuss.grapheneos.org/d/14058-using-android-auto-with-a-vpn, but the connection still doesn’t succeed as long as the VPN is enabled.
Setup
- Secondary user / Private Space
- Wireless connection
- Proton VPN with split tunneling (Maps and Android Auto are included in the tunnel)
- Kill‑switch disabled
I also turned on the “LAN connections” option, which is supposed to be required for Android Auto.
Everything works fine when I use a wired connection. The wireless connection only fails while the VPN is active.
Has anyone experienced something similar or have any ideas on additional settings to check?
