Hey there!
I hope someone can help me. I am using the latest stable GrapheneOS version on my new Google Pixel 6 Pro.
Two out of three times the OS hard crashes immediately when accepting or starting a normal phone call. I experimented with and double checked all related settings (APN, no 2G, connection type ...), the error does not seem to be related to any of these.
With "hard crashes" I mean that the screen turns black instantaneously and the OS reboots. I do not know what to do or how I can prevent the crashes. This could potentially be a life threatening issue when there is an emergency and it just keeps crashing.
It is too random to narrow down the root cause. Sometimes it happens 5 times in a row and then it works without any issue for the whole day or vice-versa. The connection type and signal strength does not really seem to play any role either.
Is this a known issue or do you have any idea where to start?
I am from Europe and my carrier uses roaming, because the company does not have its own network, which is why it just uses the network of another company. This is not a special case however, I think more people are using such a provider than not in my country. Usually they are cheaper and provide a better service, if you do not need such things as rented smartphones or loyalty programs.
I have a LTE contract (no 5G) with a SIM card and Voice over LTE is not supported I guess. Also I never had any issues with iOS, Google Android/eSIM, physical SIM/roaming or not.
Any help is very appreciated, thank you very much!
Best regards
Here are some additions:
A single profile and sandboxed Google services/Play store is used. All settings are as restrictive as possible. Google apps only have network permissions or no permission at all, only the OS location provider is used, etc.
Also, after such a crash, some apps seem to forget the app cache (for example Spotify forgets my login and all downloaded playlists).
