is Pixel 9a still a viable option?

hello everyone,

I managed to break my phone today, pixel 7 and I just upgraded to pixel 9a (order it to arrive tomorrow)
then I feel paranoid ! with what recently happened with grapheneos and they decided to introduce new phone, my question is, is it okay to use pixel 9a for the long term? will graphene os stay for a long time on pixel phones even after introducing their own model?

All currently supported Pixels will be supported until their end of life date. For Pixel 9a, this will be Apr 2032.

To clarify further, I don't think there is any intention to replace Pixel support with the new OEM. I would expect new Pixels to continue to be supported as long as they continue to meet the project's requirements.

The point of the OEM partnership is to not be totally dependent on one manufacturer. Discontinuing Pixel support would put them back in the same spot they are now.

However, I do not speak for the GrapheneOS project.

9a is a great decision and be not worry about the support longevity - we don't even know who's the manufacturer and even when it is going to be for sale.
