Thought I'd post this since I know many users here use Linux (and some of you may or may not use/like to use iTunes). I've mentioned this before, but as much as I dislike Apple, I really like iTunes. I have put all of my music on my Linux computer (stored locally in files) so today I tried something. I installed Wine and installed iTunes. I haven't tested it with an Apple ID yet, as I did not sign in. But here's what you can do without signing in (and its pretty much all I need);
Import local music into iTunes
Play the music
Burn CDs
Import CDs to your library
You can do all this without being signed in to Apple (you just can't buy music and music won't be synced to other Apple devices). I've used the iTunes UI for so long, that this was so great to get working. Even though I'd never use another Apple device since switching to GrapheneOS, I have to admit Apple did a great job on iTunes and I still enjoy using it. Hope this helps others who are wondering if iTunes works on Linux. I may test signing into my Apple account too eventually and purchasing music (if I can remember my Apple ID, Lol). If I do that I'll report how it goes. In the meantime, I'll be celebrating that I can still use iTunes - and on Linux! :)
