Just crashes often for me. A reboot cures it for a short while. Doesn't matter if I allow all photos & videos or use storage scopes.

First, update your GrapheneOS to the latest release, Security Preview option is up to you, but some issues gets addressed in them so I would recommend enabling it.
Then, if the app crashes, select 'View logs' in the Gallery app info screen.

Thanks, I'll try that - only used stable channel up to now. It's not related to recent changes - as it was doing this before the major UI overhaul. I'll take a look in the logs when it next does it.

I restart it, and it works for a bit. When it isn't working it's like it's tstruggling to open editor, and then it crashes. But when it works after restart, it's fine (for a little while).

I never experienced a crash with this app and I use it for more than a year.

Describe which action exactly causes the crash.

I attempt to edit a photo from the fossify gallery, the screen flickers from right to left as it tries to open the editor, it then gives option to kill or close, and then it crashes. I will see what's in the log the next time it does it. I might try moving to security release channel as suggested by another user - but will do that as a last resort, as I'd rather leave as is.

mar Can you rotate an image then save it? The rotating button is on the top bar and independant from the edit function. This would give a clue if you have a problem with write access to the files.

No problems here either. Pixel 8 Pro with build number 2025112100, Fossify Gallery 1.9.0 (from GitHub), Exploit protection compatibility mode disabled. I have Photos+Video access permission set to "Don't Allow (+Storage Scopes)". No other permissions granted.

Same phone and same settings initially (and granting direct allow not scopes didn't help). I might bin the F-droid one and go grab the Github apk (although I doubt that will help, my version now is the same as yours).

I had a similar problem. I think the editor needs to be replaced. In general, it seems rather strange to me that such an unstable application was praised and promoted in every possible way in the chats of this forum.

I considered that, not got on anything to base it on other than gut feel, but it raised an eyebrow being near 400MB.

Create a Fossify notes widget on your smartphone screen. The result will be the same - continuous application crashes and errors. Do you need to formulate a conclusion?

Is no text in the note widget a "no glitch"? That is, do I understand correctly that if a widget, the purpose of which is to display text, in fact does not display the text, then this is "without failures"? ))
