Bachi Hello everyone. Am I the only one noticing that the right corner clock hasn't the same UI style than the rest of the new material 3 expressive icons ? It seems that the old style clock remained after the update but on YouTube videos presenting material 3, the clock style is correct. Is it a bug ?
Lucario1829 its a licensing issue, i think graphene cant use googles font because it is (or was?) closed theres discussion about choosing a font to use that looks better than roboto but idk
gk7ncklxlts99w1 Lucario1829 There's no way the new font used in Material 3 Expressive is Roboto. I use that all the time on google spreadsheets and I actually like it. The one used for the new theme looks similar to comic sans.
nthelt gk7ncklxlts99w1 The clock on the top left, quick settings, notifications, and app names are all presented in Roboto. The new lock screen clock and the numbers in the battery icon are where things changed.
MisterX The new ui looks like its made for children and/or elderly people who can't see sh*t. I don't like it
gk7ncklxlts99w1 MisterX I have an elderly family member who can't see the battery % on the yellow background, they prefer the old design.
nthelt MisterX You know children and elderly people use android too, right? 🙂 If you the font or ui is too big for your liking, you can change that in Settings > Display > Display size and text.
CharlieMander I like the Left Corner Clock Font... Its the other things that are not coherent now. Everything else changed.. Ha ha Really does look horrible. I use custom Icons, but my notification panel pull down uses the original icons and uses them large... I hate that. Still love GrapheneOS though. Its Google to blame.
