In my opinion it's not that simple.
First:
The new interface is fine, it's basically the same, probably everybody will eventually acommodate with it
But:
The new status bar is more than a minor change, it makes things way more complicated than it should be (and used to be), a major cut into usability from an etreme point of view. Reminds me a bit when Android Lollipop came out, many people I know and myself weren't happy the way they went.
Of course it might seem weird for some people seeing others complaining, but being critical is a crucial point. If not being critical, I wouldn't use GrapheneOS, no?
What's also bugging me about this change is, that besides making things more complicated, it resembles to some kind of simplification of things as well. To delve a bit deeper, what does it say about the way people's cognitive abilities and general perception work and the way Android developers think about it. Or where they want us to go maybe?
