Issue mounting phone when in rescue mode

I am trying to fix the fingerprint reader on my phone with https://pixelrepair.withgoogle.com/ but am running into an issue where upon connecting my computer (Linux Mint 21.2 Cinnamon) to my phone, I get the error:
Unable to mount Pixel 6 Unable to open MTP device "007,002"
The browser I am using for the tool can use webusb, and my udev rules allow it too. Usually I can connect my phone to the computer without issue, but now that it is in rescue mode, I get the error.

ruberine I am skeptical that the repair tool wants to use MTP, so maybe that message is coming from some MTP client on Mint? If so, maybe try disabling it?
