Setting up carrier service

Hello All,

After a few years of reading about GOS, I have just purchased a new unlocked (no carrier) Pixel 9 Pro XL and intend to migrate to this device next week.

My question is, how is the best way to have my carrier (AT&T in the US) load my phone number to the device? I know the pixel 9 pro xl has a sim tray, but for 12 years I have used unlocked phones and at times the carrier has had to add certain info to their system to make my unlocked phone work with the network better.

Should I anticipate any issues or just go ahead and set up GOS and stick the sim card in?

Finn If the number has been used on an iPhone, find Apple's iMessage deregistration page and deregister. Then put the SIM in the GrapheneOS device. Some carrier-specific features may not work (for example, maybe "Visual Voicemail"), but if that's the case then special carrier configuration is unlikely to help. If you want to use RCS, look on the forum for the RCS mega-thread and follow the directions.

There is no need to tell AT&T to configure your line for GrapheneOS, and they have no way to do that.
