My Bank detects tampering since GOS 2025102301

I updated to the latest release 2025110801 and still, my Bank, AlRajhi, stopped working and it displays a message that it detected unsafe third party apps.

Sandboxed Google Play compatibility layer: temporarily limit system service override infrastructure added for GmsFontProvider shim to Pixel Camera to work around certain banking apps detecting it as tampering (we can change the approach to avoid this to enable it for all apps using the Google Play client libraries again, especially since we want to expand it to improve app compatibility without Play services installed)

So I assume it's not my bank's problem as the issue started after the GmsFontProvider shim was added.

This is when your bank added a PlayIntegrity check.
Has nothing to do with the font shim, it's only for google.

If its Play Integrity you'll get a notification from GrapheneOS informing you.

If the banking app is saying it detected unsafe apps, then have to consider what you have installed. Anything that may be considered malicious, particularly related to using root or adb, if you have anything like that installed.

It may not be something you recently installed, but could be a new check the bank app has only recently started doing.

The warning about an app could be unrelated to what they actually have issue with - we have seen misleading warnings before.

Carlos-Anso Yeah I didn't get a Play Integrity notification when I open the bank app.
and I formatted the phone to a fully clean slate and still the bank sends me to a webpage informing me of unsafe third party although I have none.

Long press on the launch icon for the banking app and select App info from the menu that pops up. From there try enabling Native code debugging. If that doesnt fix it try Exploit protection compatibility mode.
