Hey ! Has anyone managed to login with a security key on the Android app?

It works fine on the web version, but not on the app.

I just get a small "MFA" window that appears, then a red error message "Unable to get credentials," followed by a second message saying "srcType is not an array."

AelwennBZH I've looked into this and we don't currently support security keys in the android app because local webviews complicate things a lot for webauthn, but we'll look into it. TOTP works fine though.

Could you try it and see if it works for your security key? I've only tested it with a usb C Solo2 key, but it should support other brands and also NFC with any luck.

And by the way, I just created my Peergos account after trying out the demo server a bit yesterday.

I really like it. The custom apps integration is great !! It seems quite promising.

AelwennBZH Thank you. You can also write your own apps and use them privately or share them. They are just HTML with a basic REST api that is handled by a local service worker (so everything is local and private).

Oh wow, super fast !!!

It works perfectly.
I just tested it with NFC, even after disabling TOTP. The Fido2 prompt launches automatically and the key is recognized.

ianopolous Thanks for adding security key support. Would it be possible to add another improvement? When opening the app, it often needs to re-login, which takes about 6 seconds until you can actually use it and I wonder whether background sync even works in the meantime. It would be nice, if it just stayed logged-in, since I consider my device to be trusted. This would lower user friction and probably made background sync more reliable.

TheGodfather Yes we do want to add that. The sync still works in the background even if you're not logged in (it has capabilities to just the sync dirs). You can even sync to multiple users at the same time.

Allow me to take advantage of your presence here. I've been trying to test peergos locally, and not only haven't I gotten far past initial setup, now the little I did get to set up has fallen apart, and the system no longer will let me to log in. This is the message I get:
WARNING: java.lang.RuntimeException: Target not found: 12D3KooWEKUv13XJN2PMYoDPYwA4PWu6pirvmShc6GvNDkA8dSV5
I have deleted the .peergos folder hoping for a fresh start, but the error persists.

Your error message sounds like you are trying to log in to a user on another server which is offline. This would happen if you created your account locally, then deleted the local server.

ianopolous Hmm. "Deleted local server"? Here's what I did; I started testing Peergos in my ~/Download folder. Things looked promising, but since that location is space constrained, I moved the whole Peergos folder to another HD, and that's when things stopped working. Pretty fragile for "inter-planetary", location independent FS, no? BUT, that's for another time, for now; how do I get out of this? Or, how do I start from scratch?
