USB C settings and behaviour in secondary profiles

Dear GrapheneOS community,
on a PIxel 8 with the latest GOS I set my owner profile to "charging-only when locked", and I can use the port to connect to my desktop computer, use USB tethering, etc. But when I go in one of my secondary profiles, none of these are available: when connecting to the computer, only charging is available, and no tethering is possible.
Is this expected behaviour? I didn't find anything related to this on GrapheneOS' official usage guide and FAQ sections, apart from the usual explanations of the different modes; nor did I find anything here on the forum.
If this is expected behaviour, I suggest the maintainers of the website to update the guide specifying this, as someone who's working might need to connect to a computer and transfer files or connection.

By searching a little more, I found out that other people have had the same issue: USB-tethering rights for added users, USB connection options greyed out in second profile. On the os-issue-tracker on GitHub I found a request titled "Feature Request: USB Tethering in non owner profiles" that's marked as "enhancement" and "upstream".

So, does anyone know if this is an Android intended behaviour, independent of GrapheneOS? I thought that I could at least exchange files with the secondary profile via USB.

Don't know if this helps, but it sounds like the problem I had transferring files from a Linux laptop to a Pixel tablet -- but, oddly, not to a p8a phone (both running GOS).

I used one of the laptop's USB-A ports instead of the USB-C port as a workaround.
