Getting "missing dependency" msg on Google Play Services after latest OS update

The last update (5.10.157-android13-4-*) was different. A number of my app settings were reset, from battery use settings to actual app data.

But right now, I received this: "Google Play Services depends on Google Play Store, which is disabled."

It won't allow me to update Google Play from 22.45.17 to 22.48.14.

Anybody else see this? Is this an actual problem?

Hi there. This is expected. Google Play Services depends on Google Play Store so both need to be installed.

If you don't use Google Play Store you can always disable all its permissions.

Ok, I think this is happening because I originally installed Play Store but disabled it prior to this update. I think I just need to re-enable it, update it, then disable it. Does that sound right to you?

wild-rain-distant-drum Yes, but don't disable it. Play Store is intentionally a dependency for Play Store. It's not a bug that the "Apps" app requires you to have it enabled.

Sandboxed Google Play will work correctly only if you also have Play Store enabled. You don't have to actually use it to download apps. Just leave it there.
