New System UI Icons (Android 15+) in GrapheneOS

I was wondering when the new icons that we find on the Pixels since the start of Android 15 will make an appearance and a change in GrapheneOS. I would love to see the modern icons that they changed in Android 15 instead of the normal pre-Android 14 ones. Is there flags we could enable for these to be enabled? Or could we enable these in a future release?

App icons, status-bar icons...?

In general, GrapheneOS is focused on security and privacy, and developer time is not typically spent on icon updates. But if Google pushes status-bar icon changes to AOSP, GrapheneOS is likely to pass them on.

Google seems to have delayed releasing the source code for Android 16 QPR1 that’s why you don’t have it on your GrapheneOS device yet:

We've made significant progress on implementing Pixel 10 support based on the older release that's available for it. However, it's not something we can release for production usage and we need Android 16 QPR1 to be pushed to AOSP before we can do it properly.

No I really meant like the Battery, Data, WiFi status bar icons in the new System UI icons that was introduced to Pixels in Android 15.

The swap from the old "filled" icons to the new ones. That's what I'm wondering if they'll implement it or not.

Those were rumoured, but never actually made it to a stable release.

GOS is on Androud 16 and has the Android 16 status bar icons, which as far as I know haven't changed from the ones in 15 and 14.

nologo They have been changed in Android 16 QPR1, along with the notifications panel, the QS panel and a few more things.

So, Graphene is not there yet? I'd love to know as I'm waiting for that so I flash it again.

shadowbeany graphene doesnt have qpr1 yet, no. google hasnt released it as open source yet for development to start.

The adjustments to the Quick Setting tiles are simple but ironically the only Android improvement I've actually looked forward to in the past 2-3 years.

The ability to resize the buttons and have one click functionality for bluetooth and wifi streamlines my workflow a lot
