Reliable way to use LUKS usb pendrives for seedvault

Hello everyone,

I recently bought a usb C pendrive and i love the idea of regularly backing up my phone data locally, i have my own nextcloud but still prefer usb back up

Althought the seedvault back ups are already encrypted, I might be storing other data on the USB such as photos and videos, and i prefer my pendrive to be always encrypted.

My question, is there a reliable way yo use LUKS Ext4 usb on graphene os instead of fat32?

Wass1947 I believe this is not possible at present. An alternative might be hardware-encrypted USB sticks.

Unfortunately, I was generally faced with the impossibility of correctly restoring one of the profiles from a USB drive. The user's files were transferred correctly, but the profile settings and application settings could not be transferred. The system reported that applications must first be installed.

Gray-wolf i dont know why you had this issue as i find USB backups pretty reliable (apart from personal files backup that is beta currently), yea you cannot backup the app settings without having it installed on your phone but on the back up options, you can find an option to add app apk, this way even apps will be backed up along with their settings so you can reinstall and back up at the same, i hope this helps
