GrapheneOS GmsCompatLib version 101 released: https://github.com/GrapheneOS/platform_packages_apps_GmsCompat/releases/tag/lib-101 See the linked release notes for a summary of the improvements over the previous release and a link to the full changelog.
DeletedUser473 Someone in the chatrooms is having trouble upgrading to this version using AppStore. My script is able to get the URL of the APK though.
DeletedUser473 Turns out that seems to be because the update requires 2025102300 or higher, looking through the metadata file, which is currently a Beta version. If you can't update, try to upgrade to the latest Beta version of GrapheneOS then try again.
GrapheneOS GmsCompatLib updates have been cancelled for now due to very late reports of issues after the OS release was already in Stable.
randyTheRando GrapheneOS I have posted regarding an issue that I am getting while trying to install an app The app is available in the play store and working in a secondary profile, but in the main profile I am unable to install it and a message displaying 'this app is not compatible with your device' appears. It did not happen previously I already had updated gmsCompatLib. Is it possible that the issue is connected to this release? Thanx
randyTheRando GrapheneOS I did as follows Went on Owner Profile --> settings --> apps --> gmsCompatLib --> uninstall Got prompted with a message asking if I want to replace the app with the factory version, clicked OK GmsCompactLib subsequently disappeared from the app list. Now able to install the app Did I follow the correct procedure? I am asking only because I cannot see GmsCompactLib anymore. Tnx
randyTheRando xxx In Play Services I see GmsCompatConfig I might be confused, but isn' t GmsCompatLib a component of GmsCompatConfig and therefore I should be able to see it? Or is it only that after last updated it was visible?
GrapheneOS xxx It was taken out of the App Store for now. Settings > Apps is the right way to get to it.
