Tried calling 911 twice and both times had a kernal crash that forced the phone to reboot after getting a notification about turning Airplane Mode off to make the call (It wasn't enabled). Thankfully I wasn't calling for a life or death emergency! After the second reboot, I now can't use the home screen as it's just black and it seems to be hogging processing power while trying to be displayed and everything is slow as molasses in winter. I am able to get into apps by going through Settings via the notification pulldown and everything works fine once it's not trying to display the home screen.
I'm using a Pixel 9 Pro with build 2025100901. I've done a couple of reboots manually with no change and I do have access to the crash log. I tried to see if the phone will find the release that just dropped yesterday thinking maybe that will reset whatever the issue is, but it doesn't find it on it's own.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'd prefer not to wipe the device if I can help it.
