Hello everyone I was wondering about the difference between a few setups.
1.
Setup 1 is to just have a profile with all my google stuff, network permission would stay denied for play services unless I use an app that requires me to enable it
2.
Is to install play services on main profile and then via the graphene settings install the app on a secondary profile which does not have play services installed at all.
Does it really matter? I guess the main concern is if you have a google profile with a bunch of apps they can still communicate with play services and send data to google, however it seems like blocking network access should suffice unless the data is being cached and it's just waiting for a network connection.
The benefit of installing all the apps on a profile without google play services would in theory be that the app just doesn't have anything to communicate with to send data to google. If there is a specific app that requires play services then you could just have it in a third profile. However I'm not entirely sure that this is the case because I have heard talk about certain apps having this functionality precompiled into the app and therefore not reliant on play services in which case it just wouldn't matter.
Any insight would be appreciated thanks.
