Android Auto app not saving Battery Optimization setting

Hi there,
I use Android Auto as I have a display addon in my car to have nice navigation and music streaming.
Before I figured out why it would always lose connection from the phone to the display I almost went mad :D

Figured out Android Auto app loses connection if battery settings are set to "optimized"
When setting this to unrestricted before connecting in the car it works fine.

The setting is not persistant though for some reason. So now every time before starting to drive I enter app settings and set this to unlimited, Any idea why it's not saved?

Is the in the owner profile, a secondary user profile, Private Space, etc.? I think there is a current bug where battery settings are sometimes forgotten in some profiles, perhaps related to a reboot.

I have only one profile on my phone.
Also I made some settings in other apps that could overwrite it as I found researching...
