Is my phone about to die? Battery swelled and split/cracked case

I'm on a Pixel 7 I noticed a few weeks ago a hairline crack/ split in the case on the lower back side, about 1.25inches above the charge port and 1cm to the right.

Is this where the battery is located? There is a raised bump like something akin to a small spider bite on your arm. Never noticed that before due to protective phone case covering it.

I did notice the phone gets reasonably warm during charging, very warm using Youtube and uncomfortably hot when running Tiktok.

Is this swelling going to continue and any day my phone dies?

You know yourself, your phone battery is dead, either change the battery at minimum, or change the device to be safe. Keep using it and it will not end well..

DeletedUser499 thanks for the no nonsense reply! Google are offering to repair it FOC even though it's outside of warranty. The new battery better not be a piece of crap too!

Similar thing happened to my p8. I noticed that the screen is detaching from the frame on the right bottom corner and it was warmer than usual. Good thing it stopped working soon, so it not explode in my hands or pocket, it did pop on desk though while I wasn't present. Screen completely fell off, battery swollen about 3 times of original size, leaking some white stuff.

For google's repair I wish you best of luck! I setup a repair(under 12months) , they sent me a package to mail the phone, i did. In 2 weeks they sent it back with 2 tiny red stickers on the pcb, with no explanation either paper or email.
