How to view all websites in Vanadium in dark mode?

Any particular way to make Vanadium show all websites as Dark by default?

Just a quick FYI of why I'm asking:

Instead of installing a bunch of apps, I'm doing the browser based shortcut thing with Vanadium so that I have full HTTPS adblocking through Adguard. I'm doing this instead of using Hermit or Native Alpha because neither of those work with Adguard HTTPS Filtering enabled, so I get secure socket warnings with that option enabled in either of those apps, whereas Vanadium does not give me the same issue; therefore I get all ads blocked and no warnings. So, while both of those apps are great in that they show everything in dark mode, both of those other apps are useless to me because their builtin adblocking functions don't work, and they don't let adguard "work".
I put Vanadium in darkmode of course, but that's just the app itself, not the websites, so it seems to waffle back and forth with which sites it presents in Dark Mode. Youtube for example presents in dark mode regardless of whether I'm signed into my account or not, whereas techpowerup or gmail does not.

On vanadium, go to : chrome://flags
Find "auto dark mode for web contents" and enable it.
Note however that some displays are not perfect, compared to the dark reader extension for example.

Thanks, like you said, not perfect, but this will work!

I suppose the only way to make it "perfect" would be to compile the source code for Dark Reader, root the phone and install like this guy did?

breathless19 the solution mentioned to you above is the limit of possibilities for now.

Rooting your device would not only break the Android Security model (as such not condoned by the project), but it would also mean you no longer running GrapheneOS which would be attested to should you run Auditor after doing so.

As such further discussion around root solutions would no longer be appropriate for the GrapheneOS Discussion Forum.

You should instead enable [#darken-websites-checkbox-in-themes-setting](chrome://flags/#darken-websites-checkbox-in-themes-setting), because this will allow you to disable or enable 'Dark theme for sites' in Vanadium/Chromium -> Settings -> Theme, without going to chrome://flags; You will also be able to disable dark theme for a specific site. While #enable-force-dark (Auto Dark Mode For Web Contents) does not allow you to disable dark mode for specific sites.

[deleted] looks like this option has been removed with the latest update, now it's either or without the possibility to set individual site settings in themes. the three dotted menu now has a blank gap at the bottom.

This was just about the only app left that was blinding me daily. I missed this thread a month ago, but have just tried it now with v115.0.5790.166 and it appears to be working OK for me. I get the "Dark theme" checkbox in the hamburger menu.

TranceSeven that's the version I remember it last to be working, the most recent version is 116.0.5845.78, and the option's gone

@AlanZ @prompter #darken-websites-checkbox-in-themes-setting has been removed from Chromium. #enable-force-dark is still avaliable though Its not possible to disable It for specific sites and forcing Dark theme causes problems with some sites.

No #enable-force-dark does not work for me either. It used to, two versions ago. It is available, but it does nothing.
