Striker From my understanding that GrapheneOS allows that actual radio wave communication be disabled form the hardware when airplane mode is enabled. Hence, is there a possibility that microphone and camera be disabled in the same manner?
MetropleX Striker Hi there, when Airplane mode is active it does indeed turn off ALL cellular radio wave communication. However the function of this feature is not GrapheneOS specific but is a native function of Android. The function of the QS toggles to block Camera and Microphone does exactly the same. Most of this is covered under IOMMU (controls the interface between software and hardware in memory) and Daniel has a thread on Twitter here: https://nitter.net/danielmicay/status/1156302062944227328
unwat katemason Nitter is basically Twitter. Looks like Nitter's certificate expired. The site won't work until they update that, so if you want to visit the Twitter link, here you go: https://twitter.com/danielmicay/status/1156302062944227328. Note the end /danielmicay/status/1156302062944227328 is the same as MetropleX's link.
MetropleX katemason Nitter is instanced, sometimes the main .net version might suffer rate limiting or certificate issues... an alternate is to use nitter.it as below: https://nitter.it/danielmicay/status/1156302062944227328
