It does not appear to be part of AOSP.
Google earphones work quite well. I believe that all of the different settings can be adjusted on the headphones themselves.

    As we don't include Google services such as this within the OS as it isn't part of AOSP as of now this feature will not work. There are open source implementations implementing Airpod style compatibility such as: https://github.com/d4rken-org/capod it maybe worthwhile looking for a similar approach to this on AOSP.
