Pixel 8 boot loop

Hi. After turning my Pixel 8 on today, it entered a boot loop after staying on the BFU pin entry screen for 5 seconds. I looked through the forum and found the recommendation of adb side loading the latest update. I did that, but it then threw me an error because of downgrade protection. I have the latest 2025100301 installed, with the non open source sec updates enabled. Because i can only download the 2025100300 release, i assume i get the down grade protection / timestamp missmatch error.

Any advice on how to proceed other than a factory reset?

Are you sure you're not boot looping on a low battery failure? Pressing the power button at the first screen to pause the boot and then charging for an hour or so helps some people.

Try to remove the sim card from the phone.
It also happens on my P8 from time to time, where kernel crashes after few seconds in the pin entry screen.
Crash logs revealed a possible failure with the physical sim reader/module.

Thanks a lot for the help! This worked for me!

I removed the SIM and and paused the boot until fully charged. Now it boots normally :)
