I have tried the following methods to prevent contacts from sending me messages, and from receiving notifications at all from them:
- Block contact
- Archive conversation
- Disable Show notifications for that contact.
- Put notifications on Silent for that contact.
None of these work for my intended purpose. I still hear the text notification.
Is there some other way of doing this that I've missed? Is this possible at all? I have used the Silence app but as far as I know there's no way to selectively block contacts from texting you or from receiving notifications from them. Putting my phone on do not disturb is of course not a solution here, because it's not selective for that specific contact.
