How to run google maps on GrapheneOS?

de0u @secrec you're both correct, I've took my expectations re app support as granted.
Typically, unless author/community has strong personal reasons to maintain an app, once it's user base (and thus contributors) is reduced, it gets less attention and decays.
I personally use the app with combination with waze (limited by amazing rethinkdns, tnx @ignoramous) and I hope it will continue to work, but it's not granted.

mmobder I honestly do NOT expect their stupid "only can install from identified developers" scheme to stick around for long. It will piss off far too many people. Who wants to bet that it will ship with a switch to turn it off?

I reseted grapheneOS completly and now google maps works fine (needs like 5-10 seconds to find my location tho), I do not know why. Everything is set like before.

But I do not know what "PSDS and SUPL" is or "global toggle location", I never heard these terms before and do not know where to enable these functions. Can someone clearify?

These things are in Settings > Location

Use Location (global location toggle)
Secure User Plane Location (SUPL)
Predicted Satellite Data Service (PSDS)
