ShadowBreeze21 if you live in the US (or maybe this has spread), it seems like a common scam to insure a phone, sell it on the 2nd hand market and then claim insurance money while reporting it as stolen.
Never buy electronics that are relatively new without a proof of purchase! Some people think these are only essential for warranty claims, but as you can see - there are other strings attached.

I don't know about the 2nd IMEI, I was under the impression you can only run blacklist checks on the main IMEI. You might try of course to salvage the phone somehow.
