I don't know what led you to believe that Samsung has ever had good security. It's been all marketing BS for years, especially with their useless "Knox" branding that they slap on everything. Their software is also riddled with bugs that make exploitation very easy.

My sweet summer child, they have government contracts just because of their BS certifications for Knox. That's a gigantic issue. Not even Apple came up with so much BS marketing as Samsung does for Knox.
When did we start measuring in "better than nothing" btw?

I too had a long history of Samsung device usage (₁₂ years) starting with the Galaxy S3. It was very weird when I finally switched to a Pixel specifically for GOS. It's a shame, because there are definitely some things I like about their phones. But as stated by n3t_admin, it's almost entirely marketing (even if there are some benefits to it).

You've seen it for yourself in your own research, they just aren't for anyone that takes security seriously.
