  • Video Monitor / Security Camera Recommendation

I need an affordable video monitor / security camera recommendation. Something that doesn't stream video to Google, or require a subscription or anything like that, but that allows me to view the video/audio feed from my phone (running GOS). An added perk would be the ability to replay the video, at least within a short window, but that's not strictly necessary. Streaming over my LAN is sufficient, but remote access would be even better.

The camera would need to be able to be moved from room to room in the house. Does something like exist, and would it work with GrapheneOS?

Kalmar I'm pretty happy with my Reolink security cameras. They're nothing fancy, but the app works fine without Play Services (no notifications though). 5MP and 4K options are available. They offer a wide variety of security camera types, but most are designed for use while mounted to a wall or ceiling. That said, it would be trivial to mount it to a base. No subscriptions, and they can be used completely offline if desired (with a MicroSD card).

You can have a look at the app "haven" by the guardian project. It's an Android app that you can install on an old device to set it up as surveillance device with all it's sensors.
