Just looked into using Curve, but it seems that Lloyds took over the uk operation in Nov 2025. Now if you go onto Play store, the reviews are scathing, with far too many instances of ID being taken, then account refused, or cards being locked for no reason, abysmal customer support, and many other issues. They give no option to remove the supplied data, which is a privacy concern.
Lloyds don't like you to have your own protection when using their app, so vpn and GOS usage prevents operation. Perhaps they are letting the app developers of their dedicated app work on the Curve app. Perhaps they are lazy coders and now require google approval.
Certainly Curve is not for those who travel, with an extortionate currency service charge of 2.99%. Who pays to be able to use their own money? I have bank cards with no service fees, which is as it should be, but we need to get on our knees and praise those that run the app for allowing us to access £300 of our own money, for free, every month.
Curve didn't improve, but at least it doesn't have far to fall now
